How much does it cost to run a website each year? Three things: the domain, the hosting, and keeping it up to date.

You pay for the domain once a year. Hosting is monthly. And maintenance depends on whether you can update it yourself or rely on someone else.

Watch out for this: a bar paid 30 euros every time they changed their menu. In a year, they spent more on updates than the website itself cost.

Before hiring, ask what maintenance includes and if you can edit texts and photos yourself. That answer will save you a lot of money.
